Ringkasan Kegiatan

Fishing industry is one of the fastest growing industry in food production sectors and contributed significantly to food security of the world. Tilapia is the highest production of aquaculture commodities in West Java and Indonesia. Postharvest production activities of Tilapia can affect the quality of Tilapia products, including the process of preserving the filet fish. This community service activities were proposed to develop post-harvest technology improving the quality of Tilapia products. The event introduced two preservation methods, namely : a. Bloater (Pindang) b. Samu method (traditional preservation method with rice) Besides preservation techniques, fileting techniques and smart-packaging methods are also taught in this event.
