The axisymmetric model’s back analysis served as the study’s starting point. Settlement plate and N-SPT data from the field were utilized to calibrate the model. The permeability equivalency equation of Indraratna (1997), Tran-Mitachi (2007), and Kim-Lee (1996) was then used to continue the analysis with single-drain and multi-drain plane strain modeling. Indraratna’s equation gives the best approach in this research. The distribution of vacuum pressure in the PVD, the optimum duration of the vacuum system, changes of void ratio due of loading, and lateral movement of the vacuum system were all examined in this study’s analysis. The study’s findings demonstrate that vacuum pressure declines linearly as depth increases and there is a optimum vacuum system duration, which is indicated by an asymptotic curve. This study’s also produces an equation that describes reduction of void ratio due to vacuum system loading.
