Ringkasan Kegiatan

A seismic risk assessment in Jakarta has been made for the residential function zones. The seismic risk to buildings are quantified by assessing the probability of the buildings being in damage states and the seismic risk to the population are quantified by estimating the numbers of casualties resulting from damage to the buildings. The projection of the residents of settlements in the district levels is used to estimate the number of dwellings. Hazard assessment in this study represents the earthquake scenario subjected to intraslab subduction mechanism. Also, the site response analyses are carried out in constructing of the contour map of peak ground acceleration at ground surface in Jakarta. The fragility curve would be a key component in seismic damage assessment. In order to estimate the damages of building in Jakarta, the standard fragility curves are adopted from HAZUS-MH MR4. The estimates of physical damages are then converted to estimates of casualties using human injury and death rates applied. The casualties are related to given damage states between no collapsed and collapsed of the building. In this study, the casualty is estimated at nighttime of the day as the worst case. The spatial distribution of exposure model is created following a 0.5x0.5 km2 grid for population and buildings. The inventory consists 861,367 (41%) buildings of infilled frame type; 1,199,289 (57%) buildings of confined masonry type and 39,415 (2%) buildings of unreinforced masonry type. The average population density is estimated to be 17,200 persons/km2. Based on the earthquake scenario Mw=7 and R=117 km, the number totally buildings at complete damage state for all type of building is projected to be 318,416 (15.2%). The fatalities and the injuries resulting from the scenario earthquake would be principally attributable to the failure of buildings. The casualties caused by building collapses and other building damage are projected to be 16,239 fatality; 53,834 hospitalized injured and 153,196 minorly injured. The occupancy of building is based on the nighttime as if the earthquake occurred while people were at home.
