Plered is one of the biggest ceramic craft center in West Java. The goal is to overcome problems in Plered ceramic craft center at Purwakarta regency in relation with production technique, design issue and promotion media as well. With 2019 P3MI program the research team keep intensively dan continuing help Plered center of decorative craftsmen with special case through the beginner craftsmen coaching. This activity will involve The Plered Ceramics Craft Industry Cluster Working Group as an industrial partner and UPTD for the Development of the Ceramic Center for the Department of Industry and Trade Cooperation of the UMKM Purwakarta Regency as a partner of the government. Plered ceramics centers are now starting to experience a regeneration crisis. The younger generation is more interested in working in other sectors. They consider the job more prestigious and respectable than working as a craftsman who is more struggling with jobs that are dirty and less promising economically. In this activity, the research team tried to change the stigma. This activity is expected to be feedback to the stake holder either of craftsmen, research teams, academics or facilitators, both agencies and related institutions for improvement towards a more positive direction. The enthusiasm and seriousness of the novice crafters in this activity is a positive signal in maintaining the sustainability of the Plered ceramics center in the future.
