Previous studies, Nugraha (2018) and Gaume and Borga (2008), stated that some documentation of the impact caused by flash floods can be used to estimate the characteristics of the rain that triggered flash flood. However, this survey method has not been widely known by researchers or community. For that reason, we aim to provide a guidance for survey post flash flood event to produce data that can be used in research, especially in the field of hydrometeorology. This program was carried out in the three stages, namely: 1. Field survey and documentation of the flash flood in Ciwidey at May 2017. This flash flood has been investigated by Nugraha (2018). The important documentation of this event has been summarized well. 2. Guidance book drafting. This guidebook contains the main data that must be obtained from flood events, the field survey method, and the method of analyzing survey data and documentation of flash flood event. Also, the method of flash flood survey has been presented in webinar in “Bandung Mitigasi Hub” series. The webinar participants come from various backgrouds, namely: academics, NGOs, academic, practitioners, and the government. Hopefully this programs perform a significant contribution in understanding disasters, especially flash flood, and have high benefits for the community.
