The Earth Sciences as the only subject which is not found in school subjects requires special attention, especially for the provision of comprehensive teaching materials. Based on that reason, the importance of making Earth Science books for high school is significant so it can be used continuously as a reading material for teachers and students who are interested in studying the Earth Science. The purposes of this book are improving and developing an understanding of Earth Science, and also increasing the interest in that subject. The book will be called as "Earth Sciences for Senior High School Students". In addition the book can be one of the community service programs as a means to improve and develop the understanding of teachers and high school students in Kupang regarding Earth Sciences, especially in Meteorology. This book is written based on the experience of the author as a National Science Olympiad advisory team member. This book only focuses on the Meteorology due to the expectation on how this book will bring the greatest benefit to the development of Earth Science, especially Meteorology in Indonesia. We realize that this first edition is far from perfection. Therefore we are looking forward for input, both in the form of criticism and suggestions, to improve this book in the next edition.
