Ringkasan Kegiatan

The ergonomics aspect plays an important role in the design, development, and installation of integrated systems in many industrial sectors. Consideration of human factors as well as their interactions with system’ elements such as machinery, materials, computers, and energy should be carefully examined and accommodated. Therefore, a book which deliver a standardized basis of Industrial Ergonomics will be useful as a reference for the design and engineering of industrial systems for both the academic and professional fields. Through various research and community service program in the field of ergonomics during 2016-2018 and even before, our research group had obtained a set of sufficient knowledge, experience, and network to be delivered. Previously our research group had compiled and published a book entitled “Ergonomics: An Introduction”. In this book, the ergonomics aspects discussed are limited to the basic theories with examples in various different systems. Therefore, there is an actual opportunity to discuss the concept of ergonomics in particular industrial application. The applications discussed in this book are more specific and relevant to the current industrial context, especially in Indonesia. The development of Industrial Ergonomics Book was conducted with the following stages: 1. Reference collection 2. Chapters drafting 3. Draft compilation and editing 4. Publication The Industrial Ergonomics Book discusses a various topics as follows: 1. Basic concept of ergonomics 2. Ergonomics assessment methods 3. Office ergonomics 4. Occupational safety and health culture 5. Vibration 6. Fatigue management 7. Display and control systems 8. Human error
