Ringkasan Kegiatan

The rapid development of logistics and supply chain systems in the past two decades in the country, has not been matched by a solid foundation of knowledge in this scientific field. Practical and teaching experience over the past 20 years shows the high demand for students in planning and controlling logistical textbooks. In addition, the motivation for compiling this book is to document the accumulation of knowledge, expertise and teaching experience, research experience and the practice of the logistics profession in the business and industrial world. Therefore the substance of this book will outline contain an understanding and basic knowledge of planning and controlling logistical systems and supply chains. Logistics is a field of science for managing both related to the planning and control of the flow of goods, money, and information on an integral system consisting of suppliers, factories, distribution channels, and consumers. The goal to be achieved is the high performance of the integral system. The writing of this book is motivated to overcome at least two problems, namely (1) Based on the 2016 IISE, Logistics and Supply Chains have become compulsory courses for Industrial Engineering study programs and (2) There is no textbook for planning and controlling logistical in Indonesian that can used as a guide for students to understand the science and discipline of the logistics system and supply chain. The expected outcomes of this activity are the Logistics and Supply Chain Palanning and Control textbook and Planning, which is expected to be used as: (1) Means for students to understand the discipline and science of Logistics Systems and Supply Chains, and (2) Facilities for practitioners and industry circles to know the expertise and professions of Logistics Systems and Supply Chains.
