The quality of high school education level in west Java is currently unevenly distributed. To resolve this issue, we hold workshops to strengthen the competency of physics and science subjects for students and teachers. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the FTETI KK with the local government. This workshop was held in Garut and Karawang. We focused on four activities i.e. the use of simple tools to explain physical phenomena, information about studies at ITB for teachers and students, misconceptions in physics that are often found in physics subject at High School, the use of interactive media and multimedia in teaching physics. We hope that through this activity in the future there will be continued collaboration such as the first increase in ASN competence through S1, S2, and S3 education programs at ITB. Second in the field of research and development in the local government and thirdly in community service activities.
