Ringkasan Kegiatan

Domestic waste is an environmental problem which number is increasing time by time. Approximately there are 44.5% out of total Indonesia’s wastes with 58% of them are organic waste. Many things has been done to resolve this problem, from reusing some waste that could be used until make some simple reactors to accelerate the degrading process. One of alternative reactor that quiet easy to make is Takakura Composter. This composter is very practical, clean, no odour, and very fit for a domestic use. Composter made of holey plastic basket sized about 40 x 25 x 70 cm. One Takkaura composter can hols up to 1.5 kg waste and can filled up with waste for about 3 months. The ineffective domestic waste management and the lack of knowledge in community about alternative processing being the main problem that underlying this community service. The purpose of this action is to give knowledge to the community about steps in managing organic wastes from domestic activity using Takakura Composter, so that expected the amount of organic waste that thrown awaly to the environment could decrease.
