Greening program at ITB Jatinangor campus is done to replace the removed trees in the context of infrastructure (road and drainase) development. In addition to beautify the campus environment, the greening program also has an advantage in water catchment system. Rainfall at campus catchment area can be absorbed and use as soil water storage during the dry season. In this program, Jacaranda trees (Jacaranda Mimosifolia) are planted on the left and right of the street at Zone 1. Planting is done by the distance from the curb/ drain is 1 meter and the distance between plants is 4 meters. So in this greening program takes about 300 trees. In phase 1 greening activity, it has been provided 520 Jacaranda trees and have planted 400 trees at the campus main road, which is adapted from ITB Jatinangor Campus Master Plan. In phase 2, this activity was continued by planting the rest trees and providing 240 new trees and organic fertilizer.
