Eco friendly alternatives that can be also used to integrate transportation in a big city are needed. It is also a challange for developing tranpostation technology nowdays. Bike sharing system as a new technology in Indonesia, is expected to be a solution for traffic problem in Indonesia. Bike sharing is short distance ride that connecting mass transportation system, such as bus or train. For that reasons, bike sharing helps to integrate mass transportation system in a city and becomes a solution for transportation problems that big city facing. Bike sharing system as a transportation mode is efficient and has low affection to city health and traffic. Bike sharing system is expected to be an encourgement for people in a big city to use public transportation, moreover eco friendly ones. It will help to reduce a traffic by decreasing private vechicle usage in a city. Aside from that, people are introduced with new technology that will be used in bike sharing system, known as smart card. This card will be used to pay bike sharing rent and hopefully will be developed and used in other public transportation, even pay meal at cafetaria or pay groceries at supermarket. Smart card contains some amounts of money that have been deposited on it. This system with reduce cash usage and minimize transaction time. As addition, public transport usage, transaction jurnal for every single unit of public transportation, and number of demand for every public transportation can be well recorded because of smart card usage. The data can be provided when needed. In order to introduce bike sharing and smart card system, Institut Teknologi Bandung’s team of community service program that collaborated with PT Banopolis Inovasi Kendara are held some programmes to make it happen. The programs are meant to be given to students and people in Bandung City, because bike sharing system is developing in Bandung City.
