Ringkasan Kegiatan

The Indonesian Ministry of Health at the end of 2013 recorded cases of glaucoma in Indonesia approaching 500 thousand sufferers. In contrast to cataracts that have been treated, treatment for glaucoma sufferers who have decreased visual field can not be done. Therefore, early detection of glaucoma patients plays an important role in taking medical or treatment measures to maintain the ability to see that is still there and avoid blindness. Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP) is a method of measuring electro physiology to assess the workings of nerves related to vision. VEP measures the electrical activity of the visual cortex. The normal VEP response to stimulus is the appearance of a positive deflection wave at latency of around 100 milliseconds. VEP is a procedure that can be used preventively before eye damage becomes severe, or used to check how severe the eye is if damage has occurred.
