Ringkasan Kegiatan

Tourism village is an integration of attractions, accommodation and supporting facilities that presented in a structure of a society that blends with the procedures and local traditions. The benefits of tourist village to the local community are to increased the local economy, create jobs and new business opportunities, preserve local culture, improve the quality of the physical environment in rural areas, and improve the life quality of rural communities. Rawabogo Village is one of ten tourist villages in Bandung Regency which defined through Regent Decree No. 556.42/Kep.71-Dispopar/2011. Rawabogo Village has tourism potential such as natural (landscape of rice fields), cultural (kecapi suling, angklung, reog, celekung, rengkong, and pencak silat)., souvenirs (paintings of banana leaf midrib and sea sand), as well as luwak coffee and other traditional cuisine such as dodol terong belanda, tengkor pisang, pisang aroma, angleng, hanjeli, kecimpring, sasagon, and peuyeum. Rawabogo Village is also the entrance to the site of Mount Padang, located on the border of the Ciwidey District and Cililin District, West Bandung Regency. To intensified tourism in Rawabogo Village, it is necessary to optimize the role and capacity of the community, through the empowerment of rural communities in formulating and developing creative tourism products in Rawabogo Village. This program expected to develop Rawabogo Village become more independent and competitive than other tourist villages, especially in Bandung Regency. Activities result of this program, until November, there are three visits to the Rawabogo Village. The first visit was on Friday, September 11, 2015 to collect the primary and secondary data, and to inverview and gather information from related stakeholders in Rawabogo Village on Monday, September 28, 2015. The second visit was to socialize and organise workshops on creative tourism village and the identification of tourism products in Rawabogo Village. The last visit held on Monday, November 23, 2015 in term of explanation on creative tourism villages in Indonesia and socialization of the tour package concept in Rawabogo Tourism Village. The visit purpose are vary, for example, see the process how to make luwak coffee, watch the rehearsal of Sundanese culture, or trekking to the site of Mount Padang. A few problems in the development of Tourism Village of Rawabogo have been identified. The problems are the lack of cooperation between the tourism village group with the local people who have potential in creative tourism products, a lack of knowledge of local communities about the tourism village benefit, accessibility to the Rawabogo Village are far enough from the main road (± 20 minutes), the marketing of local products that have not been massive, and some inadequate infrastructure, such as some damaged roads and lack of clean water. From the last visit, the related stakeholders in Rawabogo Tourism Village already know how to make an interesting tour package and also in calculating the price of their tour package.
