Thus far, many successful applications of instrumentation and control principles involve the integration of a wide variety of devices from many disciplines such as signal processing, electronics, data communications, software, algorithms, real-time and discrete computing, sensors, and actuators and the use of specific knowledge depending on the application. The scientific application of instrumentation and control can be found in almost all fields, for example, in the fields of transportation, manufacturing, defense, food, energy, aerospace, industrial processes, and commercial products. Furthermore, many matters related to the principles of control have also been applied in various other fields of science such as economics and financial systems, biology, medicine, and so on. The publication of the Automatic System Control Book aims to make this book as a reference for the public, students, teachers, researchers, industry, and those who want to learn more about the control systems in an easy way. This book explains the basic of automatic control system such as the physical system modelling, block diagram representation, to the design of digital control system. The book also introduces the concept in analysis and design of control system. In addition, it will be easy for any students from any fields to clearly understand about the concept of control system. This book can be used as an additional source of knowledge in learning instrumentation and control systems.
Penerapan Karya Tulis
Instrumentation and control is a scientific field that studies measurement systems of various physical quantities, designing the instruments and instrumentation systems as well as controlling techniques for various systems or processes, which are then applied in designing and improving the quality of systems or processes (both instruments and controls) in order to increase the product quality, performance, safety, efficiency, environmental preservation and potential energy savings. Basically, an instrument system can be used as a measuring instrument, a detection tool or a monitoring device and also as part of a control system. Meanwhile an instrumentation system is a combination or integration of various instrument systems that handles various functions such as monitoring physical quantities to the control purposes. When it is viewed from a broader perspective, instrumentation and control engineering is related to the concept of the automation. This engineering involves various scientific subjects such as modeling, identification, simulation, planning decision making, and optimization, solving uncertainty problems through feedback, detecting errors, supervision and security, evaluating the performance of the controlled system, and so on.
