Indonesia is one of the biggest tropical country inthe world, that is covered by rain forests and provided the inhabitants with awide range of natural resources, especially vegetation. Honey is one of theproducts that has a big market, both local and international. Honeycharacteristics and quality depend on the local flora compositions, geographicalconditions, producing flower selection by the bees and the harvesting time. Moreinformation related to the producing floral compositions will help theapiarists to characterize their honey and honey related products and add morevalues to their products. Objective of this study is using melissopalynology to define the pollen composition in the honey collected from the Mekarwangi Tourism Village - Sindangkerta, which was carried out in cooperation with Pusat Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kepariwisataan Institut Teknologi Bandung. Information on pollen composition in honey is very useful for the apiarists and the consumers concerning the originality and flora origin of the honey, type of the honey, allergy potential caused by specific pollens and further conservation efforts and planting, to increase the production quality and quantity.  This study also provides additional educational contents for the tourists that are relevant to the theme of the tourism village. Therefore, the overall information can be used to increase the selling values and competitiveness of the local honey and the tourism potential, especially in Mekarwangi Village and its surrounding areas.
