Ringkasan Kegiatan

ITB Jatinangor Campus which comprises a total of 7 faculties activities. The average waste generation is around 5.2 tonnes/month or 173 kg/day, with 15.3% composition of food waste. All waste in the source is mixed and this caused it difficult for waste to be processed further. In Jatinangor Campus, a bio plant facility built-in 2013 as a result of ITB collaboration with PT. PGN (Persero). Unfortunately, this facility has not been operated by ITB since the end of the partnership in 2014. Based on the information, it because the operator who handles waste management in Jatinangor Campus does not have sufficient knowledge in its operation. Therefore, the reactivation of bio plants is carried out followed by made the Standard and Operational Prosedur (SOP). One of the other outcomes is an appropriate technology mockups of bioplant so that the facility can be a field laboratories by related study programs such as the Environmental Infrastructure Engineering (EIE) Study Program. In this study, several activities carried out to achieve the objectives including: • Identification of facilities and other components that have been broken, including the waste chopping machine, a biogas distribution system, etc. • Repairing several processing units in Anaerobic Digester as the primary processing, • Activation of bio plant facilities, including the procurement of starters in the form of cattle sheds, etc. In every stage, the waste management operators/workers at the ITB Jatinangor Campus always be involved. • Making a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document for bio plant operation. • Creating mockups of existing bio plant facilities at the ITB Jatinangor Campus. Outcomes from this activity is bioplant reactivation started by repairing the Anaerobic Digester units upon the leaks.
