Physics is a very important basic science to be learned and to develop. Physical processes that occur around humans are a natural process that can be formulated and investigated through the study of Physics. Advances in technology can not be separated from the understanding and application of Physics. Therefore it needs to be elaborated and developed Physics. It certainly needs of Human Resources (HR) is interested in Physics. But in fact Physics often less desirable and only a handful who are interested in choosing Physics as a choice of majors for high school graduates. Even many who choose Physics not as a first choice. This is probably because they find it too difficult to understand Physics. But it seems also to be the cause is due to Physics regarded as a mere matter of science. They do not see Physics as a basic for understanding the nature around it. The stimulation of interest in Physics is very low. Based on the foregoing, in this study there is a desire to socialize Physics through the introduction of the natural surroundings. In this case the chosen field of geothermal as its object. To the community, especially high school students introduced many geothermal energy stored in Indonesia. They are introduced to the basic principles in understanding the introduction of geothermal and geophysical surveys in the initial study looking for the source of geothermal energy. The method of measurement is given and carried out magnetic and gravity methods. This method is preferred because it contains the basic principles of Physics in accordance curriculum being studied by high school students in the material's magnetic and gravity Newton. In addition, the results of this study are direct measurements in the field at the location where the research will be used as the student's thesis Master Teaching of Physics who is currently studying at ITB Physics Studies Program. The future they will become a high school Physics teacher and a lecturer in Physics Studies Program.
