The breeders of fish and poultry have an obstacle to get cheap feed with good quality, such as high protein content and as needed. An Effort to get cheap and good quality of poultry and fish feed can be done by using biological organisms, such as insects, worm etc. Those organisms must contain high protein and be easily digested by livestock, easy and inexpensive to breed. One of the insects that has been widely studied and potentially used as animal feed is the black soldier fly (BSF), Hermetia illucens. In addition, BSF larvae are known to be used as bioconversion agents for organic waste, make them easy and inexpensive to breed (De Marco et al., 2015; Renna et al., 2017; Kinasih et al., 2018). The activity began by introducing the BSF to the KT Mulya Abadi and KT Sejahtera Bersama members. The BSF breeding effort were carried out through the construction of BSF maintenance cages for larvae and adults.
