This module offers guides to digitalize business in an effort to fight back this decrease in devisa. One of the solutions to digitalize businesses is to adopt the Tourism Global Value Chain (TGVC) framework. There are four main points in the TGVC that can be digitalized, which is distribution, transport, lodging, and excursion. Digitalization does not have to be achieved in all four points, in which only one point can suffice depending on the business needs. This module provides real examples of digitalization in each of those four points. This module also covers about the recent developments made in digital businesses. These developments include city promotions using web services, making use of social media as a marketing platform, and making partnerships with influencers to endorse products. Another big point in digital business is the rise of digital transactions, or payment methods using internet banking, mobile banking, and e-wallets. As a growing country, sustainability becomes an important aspect in its businesses. The United Nations has set 17 Sustainability Development Goals designed to be goals for businesses to achieve. This module provides a brief introduction to those 17 goals, as well as specific regulations in Indonesia about sustainable businesses. Another main point discussed in this module about sustainable tourism is on human resources, as it is one of the key resources in providing a sustainable business.

The E-Commerce Module is made as one of our effort to give back to the community. This module can be used as a guide for a workshop dedicated to the Sumedang government. There are six main points discussed in this module, which focuses on theories and case implementations about digital tourism. As we know, Indonesia is graced with natural beauties all-over. This makes Indonesia have lots of potential in the tourism sector. This can be seen from Indonesia’s devisa in the tourism sector that has always increased in these past few years. Sadly, this increase in devisa has stopped in 2020 due to the global pandemic, which caused the tourism sector to drop down in income.
