In this our research, we are establishing a monitoring using GPS observations at Lembang. The purpose of our research is a monitoring water discharge at Cikapundung River that is related to meteorological aspects and its groundwater extractions at Lembang, around 800 m in altitude, in Northern Bandung Area. This research investigates using both methods of geodesy and methods of meteorology. The insruments such as meteorological instruments and the high precision GPS receiver, --geodetic type GPS receiver --, are set up on the roof top on a building at the station. The point of the station is continuously observed by the geodetic type GPS receiver. This research goal is finding correlation between water vapor results and the water discharge at northen Bandung area.
Penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna
An GPS continuous observation at Lembang, Bandung northern area, is established that will investigate the condition of water discharge of Cikapundung river. However, the water discharge monitoring can be the important investigation for maintaining and developing its farming and animal husbandry at the area.
