Around the ITB campus especially in the area of Tamansari and Balubur since a few decades ago are popping wood craftsmen who sell their products primarily to the needs of students. Products offered include a desk, chair, wardrobe, computer desks, beds and other equipment which are generally the equipment needs of students in a boarding place. So far the wood raw material used is generally wood waste or used. Although the wood used is wood waste but basically a quality raw material such as wood ; kamper, meranti, kruing and dipterocarp timber species originating from natural forests. These wood types are generally included in the durability and high strength woods. The existence of these wood is now diminishing and in the next few years will probably run out soon. Required knowledge of how to cultivate and improve the quality of the raw materials that are available today and the future.
