IoT can be defined as a network of objects that are interconnected and uniquely identifiable based on standard communication protocols. This concept is predicted to have a big impact in everyday life (Atzori, Iora, & Morabito, 2010). Voice command has been one of the easiest ways for users to command IoT devices. Although it offers ease of usability and convenience, commands are usually predefined by the service providers which makes them quite rigid for users. To provide a more flexible user experience, it would be better if commands are personalized. With personalized commands, users can use their desired phrases to give command to IoT devices. In this work, an Automatic Speech Recognizer (ASR) for voice command and a mobile application are built to handle personalized commands. In order to build an ASR for recognizing voice command in Bahasa Indonesia, several steps are conducted: 1. Develop text and speech corpus. 2. Develop the ASR system including acoustic models and language model. 3. Develop IOT system and mobile application to operate the IOT system.
