Ringkasan Kegiatan

Groynes or cribs are coastal protective structures mounted perpendicular to the coast that function as longshore transports. Whereas offshore breakwater structures that are installed along the coastline function to control offshore-onshore transport and sediment along the coast. In the groyne structure, the sand is trapped upstream, while the breakwater structure is trapped and settles behind the structure. Groynes and breakwaters control the movement of sand along the coast, so that a certain amount of sand accumulates and settles on the beach. The use of offshore breakwater structures in Indonesia as a coastal safety structure is still not very popular today compared to other types of coastal safety structures such as groynes, revetments, or sea walls. This is caused by several factors, among others, this breakwater structure is known as a coastal protection method that is very expensive and the aesthetic impact that it causes is very disturbing especially for coastal tourism.
