Stunting is the impaired growth and development that children experience from poor nutrition, repeated infection, and inadequate psychosocial stimulation. In Indonesia, stunting is still a health problem for toddlers with a prevalence of 29%. Based on the Departemen Kesehatan RI programmes, one of the strategies to prevent stunting is giving Fe supplementation for female healthy student to prevent anemia. The objective is to determine the impact of counseling programme about Fe supplementation in the level of knowledge on junior high school female students regarding anemia and stunting. This study was performed on August-September 2018 in one public junior high school in Bandung (177 students), and initiated with the preliminary study of student’s profile, counsel about impact of Fe supplementation to prevent anemia and stunting, and then assessed the knowledge. Using t-test independent, there are significant differences of knowledge on junior high school female students before and after the programme (p=0.027). Anemia definition, symptoms, prevention, and food with high Fe were the significant information (p<0.05). From those result, can be concluded that education about the prevention of anemia related to stunting prevention with Fe supplementation can affect level of knowledge in junior high school female students.
