Ringkasan Kegiatan

The Pangjugjugan area, Cilembu, is known as the center of sweet potato production in Indonesia and most of its people work as farmers. In 1985, the surrounding community began to see the potential and develop their territory for agribusiness and agro-tourism. The community began to plant other crops, such as corn, rice, and vegetables. Besides, other facilities are also added to attract visitors, such as swimming pools, flying fox, organic tourism gardens, and others. But there are several obstacles, including limited good quality seeds, pest problems, and high fertilizer prices. The program was carried out in Wisata Alam Pangjugjugan, Cilembu, Sumedang, on August 24, 2019. The parties involved in this program included the Wisata Alam Pangjugjugan’s manager, the authoroty of Cilembu village, and surrounding farmers. In this program, there are four main activities: a biological pesticide workshop, a workshop on making liquid fertilizer from organic materials, an explanation about hydroponics, and distribution of good quality plant seeds.
