In Gurimonearu Village, Hawu Mehara District, Sabu Raijua Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, most residents work as handwoven fabric artisans and palm tree farmers.

The village faces a shortage of clean water and uneven water distribution. Women are typically responsible for fetching clean water for daily needs.

The ITB Implementation Team (Arif Susanto and Very Susanto) held a meeting with the Regent and the Head of the Village Community Empowerment Agency of Sabu Raijua Regency. The team was welcomed by the head of Gurimonearu Village with a traditional handwoven fabric draping ceremony as a welcome gesture.

Next, a symbolic handover of a water pump and electrical cables was made to the head of Gurimonearu Village, followed by a discussion with the villagers to determine the water distribution system and facilities.

The team conducted various surveys, including hydrogeological surveys (springs and dug wells), measurements of temperature, pH, EC, TDS, and water discharge, as well as 1D and ADMT surveys at three points to identify the water aquifer layers and the types of subsurface rocks.
