Majalaya District is one of the areas that often experiences floods. Flood early warning is one of the infrastructure needed to reduce flood losses. For developing countries such as Indonesia, the provision of measurement systems that support an early warning system is still constrained by costs and resources. Maintain Balai is one of the communities in the Majalaya Kecamata has even implemented an early warning system of flood hazards, both using simple devices or using real-time-based monitoring systems. One of the obstacles faced by the Balai guard community in early warning practices is the distribution of measuring devices that have not reached the upstream watershed area, as well as the need for a more reliable and accurate development of monitoring systems. In this Bottom-Up community service activity, a flood early warning system was developed in the form of the addition of two units of automatic rainfall recorder, ARR) at the Cikitu and Cihawuk locations, which are located in the upstream of the Majalaya watershed. This rain monitoring system sends rain data every 5 minutes in real time, so that it can be used to estimate the arrival time and the amount of flooding in Majalaya. The combination of hydrological monitoring in the form of rainfall, discharge, and increase in river water level elevation managed by the community independently is an example of the implementation of "citizen science" or audience. The audience, where the general public and the community participate in scientific research. Continuously, the same system can also be developed in other flood -prone areas.
