Smartphone technology that continues to develop makes more and more sensors installed on smartphones to support the performance of these devices such as accelerometer sensors, proximity, gyroscope, magnetometer, temperature and others. On the other hand, there have also been many software applications on smartphones that are created and developed to be able to obtain data from sensors installed on a smartphone. With many sensors available along with the application measurement application from sensors on smartphones, physics learning through experiments by utilizing smartphones as a measurement tool is one of the potential learning innovations for school teachers at the middle level. But there has not been much availability of the smartphone -based physics experimental learning module makes this learning method still not much developed and applied in various secondary schools. Starting from this problem, we propose a community service activity in the form of Physics Learning Workshop using smartphone media.
The purpose of this workshop is to help provide learning media for reliable, adaptive, and interactive physics subjects for high school level teachers . In addition, this workshop is also expected to improve the quality of physics learning in schools, improve teacher skills in using smartphone technology, and increase students' interest in participating in physics learning. The target of the participants from this activity was that 30 middle/high school physics teachers in Bandung were 30 people. In addition, the documentation of this activity will also be published in various social media in the form of photos or videos. Through this publication, it is expected to be an inspiration and / or media invitation to collaborate various parties for the implementation of subsequent community service activities. Furthermore, the output of this activity can also be useful and implemented widely in Indonesia.
Developing Physics Learning Modules that are in accordance with the learning curriculum by utilizing learning media that are cheap and easy to find; Providing physics learning media for secondary schools in the city of Bandung, West Java; Encourage the creativity of physics teachers in utilizing smartphone sensors in learning physics; Improve the understanding of physics teachers about smartphone sensors and their use in physics learning
The implementation of workshop activities can help provide learning media for physics, adaptive, and interactive subjects for high school level teachers. In addition, this workshop can also improve the quality of physics learning in schools, improve teacher skills in using smartphone technology, and increase students' interest in participating in physics learning.
