Activity Summary

This community service study aims to design and install solar power systems (photovoltaic, photovoltaic-PV) system to support the economic increase in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), namely MSMEs of "mamimut" macaroni snack production in Indramayu Regency which requires electricity for production (eg frying and drying), and lighting. The design of solar power systems will utilize global climate data, namely air temperature data and sun radiation duration. The tendency of long-term sun radiation levels will be analyzed by the mann-kendall test and Sen's Slope analysis to assess long-term solar energy potential. In addition, this community service study will have specific goals: (i) giving understanding to the community of MSMEs on sustainable net energy and climate potential in Indonesia to encourage the environment of environmental care, (ii) design solar power systems by involving solar radiation estimates From global climate data, and (iii) assistance implementation of solar power systems to meet the electricity needs of MSME players. Furthermore, an analysis will be analyzed to evaluate the cost effectiveness of solar energy systems compared to conventional electricity costs (PLN). In the end, the implementation of the solar energy system is expected to be an alternaif solution to reduce the production costs of MSME perpetrators to create economic recovery.
