The Provincial Government of Bali has the convention and mission of "Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali", namely Realizing Bali Energiblesih and Mandiri. In this case, renewable energy is a sector that is developed in the province of Bali. The potential of plant biomass has so far optimally advanced as a renewable energy source. One of the potential satutanaman as a source of bioenergy is coconut (cocos nucifera). Based on the statistical data of Indonesian plantations in 2019-2021, the product of which reaches around 67 thousand tons per year with a plantation area of around 71 thousand hectares. To support the Baliters' provincial mission vision, community service activities are carried out to encourage the use of coconut commodities in an integrated manner as a renewable biomass energy source and other derivative products that support food security. The Water Resource Development Center (PPSDA) which is under the Institute of Research and Empowerment of the Community (LPPM) ITB partnered with business and industrial products (IBIMA) has held community service which has been held for two days on August 28-29 2021, followed by more than 15 participants Of the three villages namely Belimbing, Bantir and Pupuan, Bali Province. This coconut utilization training is divided into several SBB activities.: 1) Making VCO oil and cooking oil from coconut meat; 2) Maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF) cultivation of coconut pulp; 3) production of biofuriair from coconut water; 4) Manufacture of coocochip for staircase comporers along with their application demonstrations; and 5) Manufacture of coco* darisabut cocoops and cocopeat as agricultural planting media from the separation of SeratcocoCofiber. With this activity, it is expected that the use of integrated service products can be further enhanced, so it can contribute to the development of the economic, food and energy sectors, especially in provincialbali.
Activities, Final Reports
Activities were attended by more than 15 participants from Belimbing Village, Bantir and Pupuan, Tabanan Regency, Bali Province. Participants get training on: 1) manufacture of VCO oil and cooking oil from coconut meat; 2) Maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF) cultivation of coconut pulp; 3) production of biodiversity fertilizers from coconut water; 4) manufacture of coocochip for household fuel stoves along with their application demonstrations; and 5) the manufacture of cocoFiber of coconut fiber and cocopeat as a farm planting media from the separation of cocofiber fibers. The training participants are expected to become a local-champion that can develop and disseminate the knowledge obtained during training in their respective village communities.
