The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia caused a negative impact on the form of a decrease in the economic growth rate of the community around the Geothermal Field Karaha. To overcome this problem, alternative efforts are needed for economical value that can reinforce public buying and selling power. One effort that can be done is by utilizing the potential of the Geothermal Field Karaha from the scientific aspects and geothermal direct use. The Geothermal Team ITB has carried out activities in the form of discussions and initial studies with PGE, Perhutani, and parties to understand the geothermal field Karaha and its surroundings. Based on the results of the discussion information about the process of forming Karaha crater and direct use that can be applied from the geothermal process. The results of the discussion obtained are then socialized to the surrounding community to apply their potential to increase the economic potential of the community around Karaha.keywords: pandemics, economics, geothermal, karaha.
