The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Lingga Police with the Oceanography Community Service Team of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) carried out traffic recognition activities in early childhood. The activity took place at Elementary School (SDN) 006 Selayar District, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands. Wednesday (06/10).

Kasatlantas Lingga Police AKP Awang Rimba Briantoko through PS. Kanit Kamsel Lingga Police Satlantas Brigadier Samsurizal said, "The activity we are carrying out at SDN 006 Pulau Lipan, Selayar District today, is in the context of the Child Friendly Police (Polsanak) with the theme Traffic Recognition Activities. In Early Childhood", he said Wednesday (06/10).

Samsurizal added, in carrying out these activities, we collaborated with the ITB Oceanography Community Service Team. The activity started from 10.00 WIB until finished.

"In addition to carrying out socialization of appeals regarding traffic identification, we also distributed gifts to students in the form of drinking bottles, and the activity took place according to the health protocol protocol," said Samsurizal.

At the same time, Dr. Susanna as Chair of the ITB Oceanography Community Service Team said, "The activities we carry out with the police in this regard, in particular, the Lingga Police Traffic Unit is the Bandung Institute of Technology's Community Service Program. And this event is included in the ITB Program to build the Country which is carried out with the aim of developing leading regions in Indonesia.

One of the programs is “Learning and Playing with Sea Tribe Children” which is currently being held at SDN 006 Selayar on Lipan Island, Penube Village, Selayar District, Lingga Regency in the form of providing directions on traffic signs to Marine Tribe Elementary School children.

Dr. Susanna continued, after the activity called by the Lingga Police Unit, we also did an active singing to motivate the children, besides that there was also a coloring competition, and ended by giving gifts in the form of story books for children, she concluded.
