ITB Hydrographic Team held a socialization of the Bottom-Up Community Service Program 2021.
This event is a matter of mentorizing the realization of Tsunami Ready village based on IOC-UNESCO indicators, which partnered with BMKG, LIPI & NDASH geotechnology research center; Brin, Pangandaran Regency Government, Pangandaran Village, Pananjung Village, Pangandaran Regency BPBD, BPBD, West Java and U-Inspire Province.
Socialization activities held at the Pananjung Village Hall, Pangandaran Regency, at 09.00 WIB.
Pananjung Village and Pangandaran Village are included in the area that has the potential to experience a Megathrust earthquake, and potentially affected by large tsunamis.
The two villages also have historical records of the earthquake and tsunami on July 17, 2006. Therefore, the ITB hydrographic research team, chaired by Dr.Rer.Nat. Wiwin Windupranata conducted a study of tsunami preparedness, as well as research on the tsunami in Pangandaran Village and Pananjung Village, Pangandaran Regency, West Java.
Socialization event was also attended by the Head of Implementing (Kalacta) BPBD Pangandaran, Head of Pangandaran Village, and Head of Pananjung Village. The event was opened with a speech by Dr.Rer.Nat. Wiwin Windupranata, S.T., M.Sc. As the chairman of the research team.
Kalak BPBD Pangandaran Kustiman expressed his appreciation where Pangandaran Village and Pananjung Village entered the program held by the IOC-UNESCO.

The first presentation of the material is filled by Dr. Nuraini Rahma Hanifa from Lipi-Brin regarding the earthquake and its potential which could have an impact on Pangandaran Regency. The second presentation was filled by Dr.Rer.Nat. Wiwin Windupranata regarding the tsunami and its potential in Pangandaran Regency, and also the results of the research modeling research for artificial intelligence and virtual reality based in Pangandaran Village and Pananjung Village.

is a presentation regarding the results of the identification of 12 Ready Ioc-UNESCO tsunami indicators in Pangandaran Village and Pananjung Village by Candida Aulia de Silva Nusantara.
The twelve indicator includes:
1. The community has a tsunami hazard map
2. The community has information on the estimated number of people in the territory of the tsunami danger
3. The community has public information boards about earthquakes and tsunamis
4. The community has an inventory of economic, infrastructure, political and social resources for reducing the risk of the tsunami danger
5. The community has a tsunami evacuation map that is easy to understand, which is compiled together with the authorities collaborating with the community.
6. The community develops and distributes educational material and preparedness
7. People carry out educational activities and routine preparedness (documented in the report)
8. The community conducts tsunami training regularly every year
9. The community has an emergency operation plan for tsunami soup related to early warning tsunami
10. The community has the capacity to support the implementation of the tsunami emergency response Team Disaster Alert 24/7
11. The community has the ability to receive earthquake info and early warning Emergency Tsunami 24/7
12. The community has the ability to disseminate earthquake info and early warning tsunami 24/7
The socialization participants took part in this event with enthusiastically. Academics and practitioners get a meeting point to jointly discuss, realizing Pangandaran village and Pananjung Village became the village of Tsunami Ready.
This is a thing that needs to be maintained and continues to be developed.
